This years New York Vegetarian Food Festival was amazing! Even better than last year. Every month I notice more options, and more consciousness here on Long Island, and all over the world. I am so happy with and proud of the world for starting to wake up to the life of nutrition and steering away from violence towards life, such as animals.
The most delicious things we ate all day were Vanilla Cinnamon Raw Vegan Ice Cream by the Raw Ice Cream Company, Raw Revolution (who fed free treats to the thousands on line all day!), Sweet to Lick‘s INCREDIBLE Whoopie Pies and pb&j squares, LoveGrace Juices, empenadas from V-Spot (Kosher Latin Vegan cuisine) and Beyond Sushi.
We got to meet a garsh darn sweetheart, FullyRaw Kristina. She feeds communities of people healthy raw vegan food. She is changing the world, starting with Texas! Jake and Carissa of LoveGrace who were by far the nicest people we got to talk to all day. They provide raw cold pressed juices, smoothies and juice cleanses. Amazing taste, and even better nutrition! As they say, Sunshine in a bottle! Love Grace juices rules.
Some tips for next year!
Get there early | the line gets long, but it’s more than worth it.
Dress Warm | the line gets cold.
Bring Snacks for the line | this year raw revolution hooked us up with a few AMAZING little treats, but what if nobody is around next time!
Bring your own tote bag for the things you are given, you buy, and fun (and pretty) postcards and stickers you can’t let go of. They have run out every year.
Bring Cash | not everywhere has a little card reader for their phones. $20 cash for a huge bag of non-gmo hemp protein? yes, sir.
Don’t eat much before you go in! | There are SO MANY great deals on delicious foods.
See you next year!
