This Tempeh dish is delightful and easy! Treat your family to this healthy violence free meal 🙂
Ingredients:
Tempeh
Kale
Lemon
Garlic
Coconut Oil
Rosemary
Sage
Lemon
Tamari
Hot Sauce (Franks Hot Buffalo!)
Liquid Smoke
Pepper
Water
Tempeh
Prepare a marinade/dressing by combining some water, hot sauce, liquid smoke, rosemary, sage, garlic and pepper in a bowl.
Simmer some water and steam the tempeh in water for 3 minutes.
Put the tempeh into the bowl with the marinade and let it sit for at least 10 minutes. The longer you let it sit, the more the flavors will soak in.
Then, melt some Coconut Oil in a pan and cook the tempeh while periodically pouring some of the marinade over the tempeh while it browns.
Kale
Squeeze a lemon and put some chopped garlic, or garlic salt, on the kale and massage it until soft to preserve nutrients.
Alternatively, you can steam it for about 2 minutes to achieve softness.
Grab some plates, lay out the kale and put the tempeh over it. Serve it to your mom and have her say “oh my god I love it! This is vegan?” Like how my mom did tonight.
